El presente artículo analiza los principales factores que intervienen en Ia conducta de búsqueda de trabajo tanto en Ia fase preparatoria como en la fase activa. Focaliza, así mismo, sobre las diferentes orientaciones prevalecientes en las prácticas de reclutamiento de postulantes a cubrir un puesto. Subraya sobre las nuevas tendencias basadas en la adecuación entre Ia personalidad del individuo y la cultura o imagen percibida de la organización.

Abstract:

Personnel selection models have focused primarily on matching individual knowledge. skills, and abilities to job requirements. However, recently, job seekers have been advised to adjust the preparation and job search behaviours to capitalize on the shifting emphasis on fit to broader organizational characteristics such as strategy, culture, and values. The present article examines how organizational recruiters assess aplicant fit and what are the factors that affect the job search behaviours.
